HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TARAH AND KYLE

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KYLE AND TARAH. TWO YEARS AGO WE SAT IN AWE AS WE WATCHED YOU GETTING MARRIED AND NOW WE HAVE A PRECIOUS GRANDSON. THANK YOU FOR GIVING HIM TO US.

Me and Lover in Florida

Isn't he handsome. I just love this man.

Well of course I have to post the events of me and Boyd in Florida. We ate fresh Seafood the whole time there. Actually fish; Grouper caught that day, to Mahi Mahi, Snapper and Tuna. We love fish so it was very tasty not to mention healthy. Except for maybe my Crusted Macadamia nut Snapper in a velvet butter sauce.

This business trip I got to be with Boyd allot more than some of his trips where I would only see him at night. He is usually rubbing shoulders with the VP's of Johnson and Johnson. I was very thankful to be able to be with him as much as I did. He is in meetings all day and dinner at night still talking business and comes home exhausted and he never gets to really see the places he has to do business at. So when I do go, while he is working I usually spend time at the pool or beach or in this case I went dolphin watching.

Okay so I didn't get a good picture, I must have taken 50 pictures and these are the best I could get. I think they were enjoying teasing the humans. . .

While I was at the dock I had a fascinating time watching the Pelicans and this Pelican I named Petunia was real hungry so I to pictures of her stealing the remains of fish from the fishermen.

Totally fascinated me. She posed for me I tell you.

And I cannot forget the Seagulls. What is a beach without the infamous bird. Actually this little creature literally landed on my head to try to take my chicken wrap out of my hands. Totally freaked me out, he actually scratched my head not landed on it. But he wasn't going to get any of my wrap unless he got it out of my cold dead hand which as you can see he didn't.

I wonder where our adventures will take us next . . .

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY TO EVERYONE

IRISH BLESSINGS
May you always have walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire!
May you be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead!
May your neighbors respect you,
Troubles neglect you,
The angels protect you,
And Heaven accept you.
May you have:
A world of wishes at your command
God and his angels close at hand
Friends and family their love impart,
And Irish blessings in you heart.
May God grant you many years to live,
For sure he must be knowing
The earth has angels all to few
And Heaven is overflowing.

Dance as if no one were watching,
Sing as if no one were listening,
And live every day as if it were your last.

One of the greatest Irish festivals, St. Patrick's Day or Paddy's Day commemorates the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. A festive day for the Irish people, St. Patrick's Day is a festive public holiday the Republic of Ireland.

THE MAGIC SHAMROCK Three is Ireland's magic number. Hence the Shamrock. Crone, Mother and Virgin. Love, Valour and Wit.. Faith, Hope and Charity. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Numbers played an important role in Celtic symbolism. Three was the most sacred and magical number. It multiplies to nine, which is sacred to Brigit. Three may have signified totality: past, present and future OR behind, before and here OR sky, earth and underworld.

Everything good in Ireland comes in threes. The rhythm of story telling in the Irish tradition is based on threefold repetition. This achieves both intensification and exaggeration. Even today in quality pub talk, a raconteur can rarely resist a third adjective, especially if it means stretching a point. "Three accomplishments well regarded in Ireland: a clever verse, music on the harp, the art of shaving faces."
THE LEPRECHAUN-The Leprechaun is an Irish fairy. He looks like a small, old man (about 2 feet tall), often dressed like a shoemaker, with a cocked hat and a leather apron. According to legend, leprechauns are aloof and unfriendly, live alone, and pass the time making shoes. They also possess a hidden pot of gold. Treasure hunters can often track down a leprechaun by the sound of his shoemaker's hammer. If caught, he can be forced (with the threat of bodily violence) to reveal the whereabouts of his treasure, but the captor must keep their eyes on him every second. If the captor's eyes leave the leprechaun (and he often tricks them into looking away), he vanishes and all hopes of finding the treasure are lost.

Near a misty stream in Ireland in the hollow of a tree live mystical, magical leprechaunswho are clever as can be with their pointed ears, and turned up toes and little coats of green. The leprechauns busily make their shoes and try hard not to be seen. Only those who really believe have seen these little elves and if we are all believers we can surely see for ourselves.(Irish Blessing)

FUGLY FOTO FRIDAY

Okay in honor of Jennie and Stacy this starts the first installment of my Fugly Foto Friday most of my pictures I deleted but I am sure I can pull some from the vault.

You can see that I am trying to stretch my neck and in return I get a well rounded freakish face with no make-up to boot. But hey no double chin, just triple cheeks.

Damaged Frontal Lobes

The Frontal Lobes are considered our emotional control center and home to our personality. There is no other part of the brain where lesions can cause such a wide variety of symptoms (Kolb & Wishaw, 1990). The frontal lobes are involved in motor function, problem solving, spontaneity, memory, language, initiation, judgement, impulse control, and social and sexual behavior. The frontal lobes are extremely vulnerable to injury due to their location at the front of the cranium, proximity to the sphenoid wing and their large size. MRI studies have shown that the frontal area is the most common region of injury following mild to moderate traumatic brain injury (Levin et al., 1987).
I give you a medical condition and with it the terminology of the condition. Somewhere along my life's path my Frontal Lobe must have gotten damaged. It has been brought to my attention many times from someone in my family (no names to protect the innocent) that I don't think before I type (or say).
So I blame my damaged Frontal Lobe. It is proven that when it is damaged ( and I have hit my head a time or two)(might even been dropped on it) you don't think before you begin to talk. Yes, blog friends a swear word has been know to fall out of these lips, yes I am somewhat rebellious at times, yes I am a little sassy at times, yes I am a stinker at times, yes I speed at times, yes I get irritated at the crazy driver, yes I am intolerant of stupidness (my new word). I AM NOT PERFECT nor have I ever claimed to be. I am what I am.
I am afraid what you see is what you get. I read my scripture, I tell my girls to love thy neighbor and to serve them at any given opportunity, I try to be a good decent human being, a peacemaker, a good mom, wife, all around Christ like christian. I use the saying: Who am I to sit in Judgement of others when I myself am so imperfect. I am flawed. But I love life, I love who I am and I love my imperfect self. So a plead goes out to you, if at anytime I have offended any of you with my damaged FRONTAL LOBE malfunction, please forgive me. I don't mean to be a harsh old broad it just slips from my mouth. Come to me and I will work on my defective being.
